HOWARD NOCK
Career History.
1990 - 2007 : Granada TV Sound dept.
Starting as a sound trainee and progressing to Senior Sound Supervisor I was lucky enough to be trained in most aspects of TV sound, from Fisher boom operating to audio post production. Granada produced some iconic programmes such as Coronation Street and Stars in Their Eyes and I gained a huge amount of experience working on both those and other live and pre-recorded studio based shows.
2007 - Ongoing : Freelance Sound Supervisor
Since leaving Granada TV I have supervised many live sports OBs and entertainment programmes including the Kings Coronation Concert, The Queens Platinum Jubilee Concert, The Voice UK, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, TFI Friday, BBC World Cup Brasil 2014, BBC Euro 2016 football tournament, Rio 2016 Olympics, BBC World Cup Russia 2018, Beijing 2020 Olympics, Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 and Quatar World Cup 2022 to name just a few.
Many of these programmes have been in Dolby 5.1 and include remote mixing workflows.
A full list of programmes are available in the Programme Credits tab.
I also have my own audio post facility that I use for remote dubbing work and podcasts and is based around a Pro Tools HD system with UAD plug ins and Focal Twin 6be monitors.
